Friday Favs: North Carolina

Are you ready to check out this week’s Friday Favs? Switching it up a bit and sharing some of our favorites here or near Durham, North Carolina. A couple can be found a few hours east in our happy place, Wilmington. This is where you will find us when we need an escape from real life!

Nest Interiors

Whether you are looking for something for your home or a housewarming gift for a special friend, we highly recommend this little shop. We are slowly collecting this beautiful dinnerware that is a nod to the sea. Doesn’t the plate rim look like waves lapping the shore? @nestinteriorsraleigh

Rare Earth Beads

This is our favorite local bead store and has a wonderful collection of semi-precious stones. As always, we are drawn to the colors of the sea. Even before we moved to Durham, we would make a special trip to this little shop. @rareearthgems

Eno River State Park

We discovered this little hidden gem on New Year’s Day and feel blessed to have this little escape so close to our home. It’s a quick 15-minute drive and is very dog-friendly.

Airlie Moon

Our all-time favorite boutique and would be my inspiration if we ever opened up a store. We have been collecting these seashell bottles for a while now. You need to follow @soul.and.sea.studio and @airliemoon for more coastal inspiration.

Arhaus at Fenton

We know Arhaus is a national retailer but I love the space the created at Fenton in Cary. So much inspiration for our homes and outdoor living spaces. If you love home design, then you need to plan to check it out soon! @arhaus @fentonnc

Eno River Farmers Market

We love this farmers market in the sweet little historical town of Hillsborough. So many great vendors and I love this floral arrangement I picked from a new vendor who has created for Anthropologie before relocating to North Carolina. Unfortunately I don’t have her instagram handle but hopefully she will be @enoriverfarmersmarket

M. Sushi

The best sushi in Durham and our all-time favorite date night destination. We are celebrating a belated Valentine’s Day this Saturday because we couldn’t get in earlier. It’s that good! P.S. They opened a second location in Cary at Fenton. @msushidurham

Patina

In Durham, across the street from Rare Earth Beads is the cutest shop featuring vintage finds curated by the sweetest shop owner you will meet. I haven’t checked in lately so need to plan a shopping trip soon. @patinadurham
