Locals summer in Wilmington might be my favorite little season.
The water is still warm, the days still feel like summer, but everything starts to slow down just enough. And while I’m definitely not ready to let go of summer, I am starting to think about what comes next.
For me, that means turquoise with warm browns, soft whites, a little silver, feathers, animal print and just enough Western edge to make things interesting.
I’m loving pieces that still feel light and coastal, but with more texture. A silver jean. A great leather bag. Snakeskin boots. Something sparkly. Jewelry that still carries the colors of the sea.
It’s less about changing seasons overnight and more about layering fall into summer slowly.
And honestly, that feels very Wilmington.
